About Dr Do It
Hello!
Welcome to Dr Do It Tutoring and I am Dr Do It!
I am born and bred in Canterbury and have lived in Herne Bay for the past 20 years. I live with my husband and our two children and our dog.
I have a PhD in Biological Science and I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I have taught a variety of students over the years (two decades of teaching and counting!), and although science is my specialist subject, I love the variety that comes with teaching primary age children. In other roles I have been the Designated Safe Guarding Lead for the institution so I am well placed to provide a safe online space for your child's learning.
Having two children that have both taken (and passed) the Kent Test. I understand the pressures it can place not only on your child, but also on you as a parent. I supported my children with their learning but did not solely tutor them as I know how hard it can be to be mum and teacher. That is why Dr Do It started, I love teaching, it has been my life and it makes me happy to see children grow in confidence with their learning and achieve their goals. I can help prepare your child academically and emotionally for the Kent Test, relieving some of that pressure on them, and on you as a parent/carer.
It is very important to me that every child and client receives the same quality service and personal touch. For this reason, Dr Do It Tutoring is solely owned and run by myself, I do not and will not employ other tutors or assistants and I am not part of a franchise, this means your child and you will only ever deal directly with myself ensuring consistency throughout your child's learning journey.
